Deborah A. Borges is a multifaceted talent who has a plethora of life experiences in multiple professions and arenas. She has overcome seemingly insurmountable odds including homelessness resulting in abject poverty and welfare to become a pastor, minister, lawyer, chaplain, teacher, life coach, track and field coach, author, and business owner. She is therefore well-equipped with passion, compassion and skill to speak into the lives of others. She is very successful at coaching clients into their desired path of success whether it be businesses, schools, teams, organizations, churches or individuals.

Deborah has served our country as a United States Marine. She has been an ordained minister for over 30 years and has served as a chaplain in correctional facilities and hospitals. Deborah is actively licensed to practice law in the states of Georgia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia as well as the United States Supreme Court. She is also licensed to teach in the state of Nevada where she was in high demand to teach classroom management.

Deborah’s scholastic achievements are notable: She began her educational trek with two associate degrees, one in Ministry and the other in Office Administration where she was co-valedictorian and valedictorian, respectively. She went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated summa cum laude; a Master of Divinity degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA with two majors and a full year of the Hebrew and Greek languages; a Master of Education degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), where she graduated summa cum laude. Deborah received a full academic tuition scholarship to the Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, where she received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and graduated with the International Trial Lawyers’ Trial and Advocacy Award for being the best trial lawyer in her class. These accomplishments are a testament to her discipline, organization, tenacity and desire to serve in excellence.

Deborah has been in demand as a speaker, teacher, and trainer. She was Jimmy Carter’s Habitat for Humanity’s speaker of the year. She was speaker of the year for the Atlanta Job Corps. She was also commencement address speaker for a Washington, D. C. public school. Ms. Borges was the keynote speaker at Georgia Tech’s “Engineer for a Day” program as well as Georgia Tech’s Society of Women Engineers. She has conducted multiple workshops on several topics for adults and youth including classroom management, organizational leadership, self-esteem and self-worth, finding your purpose, understanding the concept of vision, how to be a good student, street law, handling emotions, overcoming peer pressure, and how to activate your faith, just to name a few.

Deborah endeavors to use her life skills, wisdom, knowledge, and experience in service to others. She aspires to empower her audience of one or of thousands to experience self-actualization and success stories. She lives by the idiom of the poet laureate, Maya Angelou, “When you get give, when you learn, teach.”

Deborah’s triumphs are remarkable. She has changed the lives of thousands through her storytelling as well as her no-nonsense but loving approach to speaking, teaching and training. She strongly believes that we must Agitate: arouse public concern in the hope of prompting action; Innovate: make changes by introducing something new; Motivate: stimulate interest and enthusiasm.
